robinhood farm & forest INTERNSHIP
May 16 – June 13, 2026 | 4 week commitment
“My experience at Robinhood Farm & Forest was a wonderful introduction to organic farming practices and the rhythms of using and caring for land with intention. Susanna and Scott’s generosity as they shared their property and their knowledge created the opportunity for a rich, cross-generational connection as we worked together. Planting seeds, sorting oysters, and living together in the barn loft also made for great conversations and friendships between the interns in the program. I left the internship with new skills, a deepened belief in my capabilities, and inspirations that continue to influence my approach to my career and plans for the future.

internship EXPECTATIONS
This Internship Opportunity expands on the lessons and experiences from Seguinland’s more structured academic programs. While you’ll have mentorship along the way, this experience is especially shaped by your own self-direction and the support you offer one another.
Professionalism: Treat your internship as a job. Be present, reliable, communicative, and proactive. Your role matters. You’re representing Seguinland, and your contributions have a direct impact.
Communal Living & Cooking: Living in community requires flexibility, awareness, and shared responsibility. You’ll be expected to take an active role in communal life: cleaning, cooking, and helping sustain a respectful, functional home for all. You will be responsible for your daily meals.
Transportation: You’ll need to coordinate your own transportation for the duration of the program—including travel to Seguinland’s campus, grocery shopping, and travel to and from Robinhood Farm & Forest (RFF), upon arrival and departure. No transportation is provided by Seguinland or RFF. We encourage alums to plan ahead and coordinate car access with each other in advance.
Commitment & Cancellation: By accepting an offer to participate in this internship, you commit to the full duration of the program from May 16 – June 13, 2026. You will be asked to submit a $250 deposit to confirm your spot. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the internship.
“When arriving at Robinhood Farm and Forest, I was met with a dense landscape of white birch, red pines, and steadfast oak trees... Inside the greenhouse, I found trays full of seedlings: beets, potatoes, beans, squash, tomatoes, flowers, and so much more... We prepared the land, planted the rows, and tended to the budding garden using all organic practices... Scott and Susanna were kind and generous teachers, sharing with us the decades of farming knowledge that each of them have... Robinhood cove is incredible for swimming, kayaking and oystering!... The accommodation in the garage apartment was comfortable and beautiful... The intern housing provides privacy and respite, while still being located next to the main house for afternoon tea and conversation with our hosts... They were such wonderful companions and mentors... This internship provided me with an amazing experiential education in organic farming, land stewardship, oystering, and intergenerational friendship... It felt amazing to move my body in the mornings on the farm and spend the afternoons meditating in the hammock, exploring town nearby, or writing songs at Reid State Park... There was ample time for reading, creating, walking, and resting!... I feel an immense gratitude for Scott and Susanna and my time spent at Robinhood Farm and Forest.”
